3D Geological Model for Zubair Reservoir in Abu-Amood Oil Field

The Zubair reservoir in the Abu-Amood field is considered a shaly sand south of Iraq. geological model created for identifying facies, distributing petrophysical properties and estimating volume hydrocarbon place. When data processing by Interactive Petrophysics (IP) software completed estimated permeability using hydraulic unit method then, three main steps are applied to build model, begins with creating structural, facies property models. five zones reservoirs were divided (three units two cap rocks) depending on variation (porosity permeability) that results from IP interpretation. Five wells penetrate lower Cretaceous Formation (Zubair reservoir) used construct model. ZUB-1 as most important zone which have good parameters about 24% porosity, 800 md permeability, 38% water saturation 85% net gross. initial oil place be 1.7898*109 STB. Finally, 3D support improving estimates potentialities enhances production field.
